Mark 12:31-32

Mark 12:31-32 - 'And you shall love the LORD our God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' That is the first commandment. "And the second, like it, is this : 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Shadow Art

This is the one and only shadow art (if I am not wrong?) you can find inside Singapore Science Centre. Construct with items that you discarded, parts that deemed useless by us to become something different, and appear to be useful (as an art!).

PS : Seems like the art is not that obvious from the angle I took the picture =.=|||

Lonely Light at Fuji

Quote of the day : When you can't change the direction of the wind, adjust your sails. - H. Jackson Brown

This light trails was taken while I was wandering around alone at Fuji. That is when all of my friends are off enjoying the onsen inside this building on the right. (Yes Ah Hai & Wei Hong, this is the very spot where I told you guys I heard the two of you chatting >.<)

Its either onsen or photoshooting for me, so of course I would go for the second option. Don't think I will enjoy stripping naked for onsen anyway =D

PS : If my memory did not fail me, you can enjoy the onsen here with just 1,000円.

Christmas service @ City Harvest Church

Went to church for the first time at Singapore after 3 months plus working here. The service is as awesome as the church is, and for this Christmas season, they prepared an awesome drama for this special Christmas service. Here is how it looks inside City Harvest Church Singapore, using my out of date Nokia N900 camera.

Christmas @ Tommy Hilfiger

Quote of the day : Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one. - Charles J. Sykes

Stealed Snapped this shot outside of Tommy Hilfiger store somewhere at Orchard. Now looking back at this picture, it kinda looks like an advertisement for their outlet. Year end sale 50%, anyone?

Christmas Along Orchard, Tiffany & Co

Quote of the day : Keep people in your life that truly love you, motivate you, encourage you, inspire you, enhance you, make you happy. If you have people who do none of the above, let them go.

This is the three Christmas trees you can find somewhere along Orchard road, thanks to the generosity of Tiffany & Co. Did not get to shot it when its light is up at night due to the overcrowded street and thanks to the hot weather (yes, even at night), it totally kills my mood to walk back there to snap these three guys.

Christmas Along Orchard

This is what you can see along the road at Orchard for this Christmas season. As this is the very first time I am here during Christmas season, it is a bit of a disappointment thou. I always thought that it would appear to be something better than this. Oh well, better than nothing right?

The Helix Bridge

Quote of the day : Confidence comes not from always being right but not fearing to be wrong

This is the Helix Bridge, a pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre with Marina South in the Marina Bay area. This bridge is also known as the Double Helix Bridge previously, with five viewing platforms spanning across the entire length of 280 meters which provide great views of the Singapore skyline. Constructed with 650 tonnes of Duplex Stainless Steel and with the help of 1000 tonnes carbon steel for the temporary structure and also helping the bridge to get the helix shape, the Land Transport Authority claims it is a world first in architectural and engineering bridge design.

Inside Marina Bay Sand

Quote of the day : Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drowned your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. – Steve Jobs

A closer look inside the Marina Bay Sand, the shopping mall part of this luxury place in this little island country. This is taken at the middle block, which I suppose it is the Theatre Block since The Lion King can be seen in this picture.

Fish & Co, Dinner Time!

Quote of the day : Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people. - Eleanor Roosevelt

The is the scene took inside Fish & Co during the dinner party with Jonathan. Nothing great or special here, just kinda bored so just try taking this handheld, and it works out quite well (Hand held, lowlight and for three consecutive shots)!

Everybody is busy with their dinner, while we all waiting impatiently for our fish to be served.

Working Life, Product Shot

Alright, this is some random crappy stuff I am gonna post today. Its been some time my blogpost goes more than 1 picture!

This is something that I do at work, kinda enjoyed and learned a lot of stuff about product shoots. Not really satisfy with the outcome, but this being the very first product shot that I have done, I guess this is far better than I can asked for.

Random shot @ Kyoto Imperial Palace

Quote of the day : Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years wrinkle the face, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. - Watterson

One of the many many many buildings inside the area of Kyoto Imperial Palace. Forgotten what this building doing there thou =.=

Flying High Up!

Quote of the day : If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter. - George Washington

Dunno why everytime I see this picture, it seems like urm... freedom? Perhaps it is because of the kite-like thingy on the left. Anyway, this is the decoration at the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living, simple yet nice.

Golden Pavilion

Quote of the day : Weakness is not a reason, just an excuse

A closer view of the landmark, Golden Pavilion. More detail look on how the building is coated with pure gold! This building has been sleeping serenely at the middle of the lake since 1397 (Wikipedia). Here is the view of this building with the lake.

Glooming Sunset

Quote of the day : In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Night view at here. Although shot at different location, but the building are more or less the same, see how the boring building comes alive at night! :)

Smoking Hot Ride

Quote of the day : If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living. - Gail Sheehy

Saw this ride back at Tokyo, sleeping inside some kind of mechanic shop. I wonder if it is for display only or owned by the boss of that tiny shop.

Actually was attracted by how the lighting lights the helmet, but ended up that specific part is polluted by flares. =.=||| Oh well, another reason to not shoot HDR with filter next time >.<

PS : Still looks good to me thou, with the flares =D

Bugis Junction

Quote of the day : "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." - Albert Einstein

Shoot from the bridge on first floor at Bugis Junction, the banner in the middle kinda spoilt the whole scene. Oh well, can't really get rid of it even if I were to shoot at the bridge behind the banner since there is another banner at the far back @.@"

Lion City at Night

Quote of the day : The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just. - Abraham Lincoln

Here is a scene familiar to most if not all Singaporean, or anyone who lives near Singapore. This scene was shot at the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade showing how the city comes alive at night.

PS : Add me on Google+ if your are using one.

Iluma Singapore

The history of free man is never written by chance but by choice - their choice. -Dwight D. Eisenhower

The very first picture of Singapore after I had been here for almost 2 months now is one that I took at Iluma somewhere at Bugis during the Taiwan Food Fair. The so called food fair is a disappointment thou, with stall not more than 20 I think? Anyway, was quite impressed with this kinda Sci-fi architecture they have here.

Onsen at Fuji

Quote of the day : Few of us can do great things, but all of us can do small things with great love. - Mother Teresa

This is one of the many many traditional Onsen (Japanese Hot Spring) you can find around Fuji. One of the thing people usually do, or purposely travel here just to try! Took this picture (and other pictures of places around Fuji) when my friends spend their night inside this onsen.

PS : Should exercise the habit of ditching my UV Filter while shooting at night >.<

Sensō-ji Main Hall, Asakusa

Alright, like F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. I am able to update the blog again! Its been years, being stucked at Singapore without my usual desktop, or any powerful-enough-to-edit-pictures laptop. The thing is, after being here for like more than 1 month now, nope I have not go around Singapore for some photo snapping yet.Lazy me. That brings me back to the remaining Japan pictures.

Here is the famous must go place at Asakusa, Tokyo. This is the front gate, Kaminarimon and to the far end lays this magnificent temple sleeping in the middle of the night. Love how the angry cloud formed at the back.

PS : Edited on the name of the building which is actually called Sensō-ji Main Hall

Haneda Airport

Here is another indoor shot taken at Haneda Airport. All the shops is being designed in a way of a small village themed, selling all sorts of Japanese the traditional stuff. Looking at how awesome Haneda airport is, do make me wonder how much more awesome Narita airport is!

PS : Awww... its been such a long time since the last picture that I have uploaded here. Sorry for being MIA as I do not have my workstation with me at Singapore, so no picture editing at here =.= Gotten my hand with a few pictures when I was back Malaysia last weekend, kinda rush so did not grab much pictures back with me.

Hey guys, I wonder if anyone is waiting for a new post up at here. Kinda sad to say that I am now at Singapore and my desktop (which used for photo editing) is back at Malaysia. Guess the site would be down for sometime until I get a decent laptop at Singapore for more post processing work.

Kaminarimon

The legend says that in the year 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River, and even though they put the statue back into the river, it always returned to them. Consequently, Sensoji was built there for the goddess of Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo's oldest temple.

This is the "Thunder Gate" of Sensoji Temple located at Asakusa, taken on the last night of my stay at Tokyo T_T

A place you must visit at Tokyo, with loads of awesome architectures (within walking distance) and shops (middle of the picture, both left and right are shops in the morning) along the road straight to the temple.

大阪の公園

Quote of the day : There are two ways to live : you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle. - Albert Einstein

Here is some random view at one of the park leading to Osaka Imperial Palace. Seriously, it looks so relaxing eventhou with all the botak trees (its winter!). Can't imagine how awesome the view will be during spring! Something we can't find at Malaysia, jogging with such nice view surrounding you. Definitely would be one of the reason to start jogging.

Osaka Alley

This is one of the view that you can see at Japan, not just Osaka (where this picture was taken). Three-stories building with a mixture of wooden and cement design, bicycle, greens, and vending machine! They are one of the most advance country, and yet they are also one of the country that well preserved their traditional culture. Take a walk at one of the Japan housing area, and you will get what I mean.

K's House Mt. Fuji

Alright, gonna write about some lodging at Mt. Fuji. This K's House Mt. Fuji (information here) is one of the many budget backpackers hostel available at Mt. Fuji (of course this is the one I stayed during my visit to Mt. Fuji). Awesome environment and services despite being one of the cheapest hostel at Mt. Fuji (I stayed for 2500円 per night here). Have a look at the pictures below, and you will get what I mean.

Chatting hall, all available for you to hangout with your mates (We have it all for us since there is just us that night). Comfortable heater underneath the table to keep your legs warm, some minigames at the back free for you to play with and a computer at the back there for all the hardcore facebook users you to use.
